Driver general guidelines

  Arriving at the Event:

• Everyone will pay at the gate to get a spectator band
• If you will also be driving, then see the attendant at the window next to the concession stand for a driver band
  • Some events you will get both bands at the front gate
  • You can purchase your driver band at any time during the event. So, if you choose to come check out the field first you may do so.

Tech:

• Bring your car to the track entrance. We will tech you and your car in line.
• You must get your car checked and receive a driver number on your windshield before going on track.

Drivers Meeting:

• There aren’t any drivers meetings before or during the event. You can arrive at the track at will as there are no time restrictions.
• If you have any questions, feel free to message us prior or get with any staff during the event.

Entering/Exiting the Track:

• You will enter the track going up the long ramp on the South side of the track.
  • Only drivers/riders are permitted on this ramp
  • When you are the next car in line you are required to be in your car and have all safety equipment on.
• You will exit the track on the short ramp at the South-West side of the track
  • No one except staff is permitted on this ramp
• If you plan on running tandem or team runs you will line up and use the same ramp.
  • If all members are not ready, then you may send one car in line and have the other cars line up close to the exit. Let the flagger know which car you are running with and they will send you up the exit ramp once that car is on track.
    • For any team/tandem runs please plan your layout prior to going on track. We want to give everyone the same track time and keep the flow going.

Track/Course Info:

• At most events we run a specific track layout around 1-2 hours after the start of the event. Before this time the track is fully open to run any layout you want within the run time.
  • You can not perform a standing/rolling burnout on the front straightaway (in front of the stands). Also if you spin-out in this area, slowly accelerate out.
    • Drifting across this stretch is fully permitted
• If you would like to visually see the track and walk it we will have a group tour 5 minutes prior to going live.
  • Once the track is live, no one except staff/media will be allowed to enter the track area

Flags:

• GREEN
  • Will be used to wave you on track
• RED
  • Stop drifting, your run is over. Exit the track and keep slow at the track exit/pits.
• GREEN and RED
  • Get direction from the flagger
    • You may need to stay in place, or they may direct you off track. Check with the flagger for the reason as you are safely exiting.
• NOTE - Keep an eye out for the flag. Other incidents may happen on track that you are unaware of.
